The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), in collaboration with Parent to Parent USA (P2P USA), is excited to present an engaging and interactive session on Navigating Systems Across a Lifetime: Education, Medical, and Disability.
This interactive discussion features Dr Dennis Kuo, a Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrician and Immediate Past Chairperson of the AAP Council on Children with Disabilities (COCWD), alongside Morgan Kowalski, Program Manager for the Family-Centered Care Taskforce and a NICU parent.
Participants will gain practical strategies and invaluable insights into the challenges that families and caregivers encounter when navigating educational, medical, and disability systems.
The session will offer perspectives from both the physician and caregiver, highlighting collaborative approaches to enhancing the partnership between caregivers and healthcare teams in delivering comprehensive care for children with complex health conditions.
A dedicated Q&A segment will follow the presentation, allowing ample time for participants to engage and ask questions.
Advance registration is required.
